The EPA is currently conducting an Air Quality Monitoring Campaign in Birkenhead and Peterhead.
There are two sites including:
- Birkenhead - Naval Reserve
- Peterhead - Peter Nicholls Reserve

Why are we doing this monitoring?
We are doing this monitoring in response to recent community concerns about dust in the local area. The EPA has initiated this temporary air quality monitoring campaign until August 2025, to better determine the specific nature of particulate emissions from the Adbri facility.
