Woodville
EPA assessment area
The EPA commenced environmental assessment work in Woodville in May 2019.
The first stage of work at Woodville – Port Road was to measure the concentrations and extent of hexavalent chromium in the groundwater, from a former electroplating site that operated between 1950 and 1990. Please see ‘Results’ and ‘Maps’ sections below.
Further work is now being undertaken to determine how far the hexavalent chromium extends to the west and south west of the source site. The next stage of work will also aim to determine the source, nature and extent of PFAS in groundwater within the assessment area.
