Unprecedented instability in national energy network

The EPA has been informed that the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is likely to instruct SA power generating infrastructure to operate and generate electricity urgently into the network. This may occur at short notice and is more likely to happen in the evening today (16 June) or tomorrow (17 June).

Noise impacts on residents and businesses near to energy infrastructure is likely and the EPA would like to advise that this is an extraordinary circumstance brought about due to unprecedented instability in the national energy network.
