Boral - Linwood Quarry
Boral Resources Pty Ltd owns and operates the Linwood Quarry which is located on Clubhouse Road, Seacliff Park.
The quarry was established in 1882 and produces aggregates, rail ballast, pre-mix concrete and road materials.
Extractive industries, including the Linwood operation, are regulated under both the Mining Act 1971 (Mining Act) administered by the Department for Energy and Mining (DEM), and the Environment Protection Act 1993 (EP Act) which is administered by the EPA.
The EPA regulates the Linwood operation with DEM, the lead mining regulator, with principle responsibility for management of key issues, including noise and dust from blasting activities.
Expansion proposal submitted in December 2018
Boral lodged a proposal with the Department of Energy and Mining (DEM) in December 2018 to extend Linwood Quarry towards the east of the present pit.

EPA licence
The EPA licenses activities of environmental significance and monitors water, air and noise pollution. Boral's licence was renewed in November 2019.
