Owners of diagnostic X-ray apparatus
Prior to registering an ionising radiation apparatus, the EPA must be satisfied that the apparatus is installed, constructed, and shielded in accordance with the Regulations.
The Third Party Certification (TPC) program allows owners to engage an accredited tester to ensure an apparatus complies with the legislation. Information for owners relevant to the TPC program is contained in the Guidelines.
The EPA has extended the TPC program to cover plain radiography apparatus used in the medical, chiropractic and veterinary areas.
