Environmental planning
Environmental planning is concerned with the spatial planning of land-uses. Careful decisions need to be made about the uses of land to ensure that the well-being of people and the health of the natural environment are not adversely affected by incompatible land uses.
The South Australian planning system establishes a process to make these decisions.
The EPA has an important role in assisting land-use decision making through the South Australian planning system to ensure the protection of human and environmental health.
