Other responsible departments

Ozone

Ozone protection licensing (excluding fire protection) is now the responsibility of the Australian Department of the Environment and Energy.

The Australian Refrigeration Council, as the approved industry board, will issue licences on behalf of the department.

The Commonwealth regulations regarding licences for fire protection systems took effect on 1 March 2005.

Water

Licensing of water use and infrastructure is now the responsibility of the South Australian Department for Environment and Water.
