Further opportunities
The key opportunities to further improve SA’s air quality are:
- prioritise active transport (cycling and walking) and public transport to reduce traffic emissions
- improve mechanisms to coordinate air quality management across government, including planning, health, environment, and local government.
- improve guidance to industry on monitoring for impacts of emissions and their management
- improve air quality knowledge, including of exposure risks, through well-designed monitoring and modelling, and use of technology.
